Hi, My name is Nathalie and I'm a sugar-holic.
Here it is:
I'm 39 and yesterday was my birthday. This was my last bday before the big 40 and I feel this is my last chance to be a healthy, non overweight woman in her 30-ies. I want to enter 40 feeling healthy, energetic, proud and fabulous of course!
I did go sugar free for 3 months about 2 years ago. I was doing an experiment on my body, initially for 6 months, to see if quitting cold turkey was my solution to sugar cravings, the way quitting cigarettes was my only solution.
Still not sure if I can quit for ever, but this time I am giving myself a year, as I have the benefits from my past failures to build up on, and because this is my last year before I'm 40: I want to cross that milestone in the best of form and I know that sugar does not have to be part of it. In fact it will keep bringing me down if I let it continue to rule my moods, eating habits and even hobbies (baking...).
So, let's start, or rather, let's continue, as day 1 was successful.
I know I can do it, and, more importantly, I know it is the only way I can do it.
